What Is Suya Spice?
As Spice of the Month, Suya spice is a fiery seasoning that is used on a popular Nigerian street food, Suya. Suya are skewers of meat, such as beef, chicken, or lamb, coated in Suya spice. The spice blend is infused with bold and passionate flavors that season the meat and make it delicious.
What Makes Suya Spice Unique?
Suya spice is known for its bold, complex flavor that blends savory richness, smoky undertones, and earthy depth with a fiery heat. Its carefully balanced combination of spices delivers a passionate warmth and pungent aroma that make it a standout in grilled and roasted dishes. Each element plays a role in creating a vibrant and unforgettable taste experience.
What Is the Use of Suya Spice?
Suya spice can be used on meat skewers (Suya) or in soups and stews. Our spicy lentil stew uses Suya spice for flavor. Suya spice also enhances other soups and stews, like pepper soup. Warm up with the hot meal this winter, and maybe even plan a Valentine’s Day date around the delicious soups and stews.
Besides soups and stews, Suya spice is ideal for marinating and grilling meats such as chicken, beef, or lamb. The marinade makes the meat extra tender and juicy. Or if you or your Valentine are on a plant-based diet, Suya spice has you covered. Suya spice can be sprinkled on vegetables, seafood, and tofu to elevate any dish. Suya spice is a versatile spice blend with a variety of uses in the kitchen.
