Make a Suya Dip – A Bold Twist on a Classic Blend

Looking to spice up your next snack board or party platter? Turn Yaji Spice’s Suya Spice Blend into a rich, smoky suya dip that’s perfect for veggies, chips, grilled meats, or even as a sandwich spread. Inspired by the bold flavors of Northern Nigerian Suya, this dip brings the same heat and depth, just in a creamy, scoopable form.

Why a Suya Dip?

Suya isn’t just for skewers. By blending our signature spice into a creamy base, you can enjoy the warming, nutty, and peppery notes of Suya in an entirely new way. It’s fast, easy, and perfect for gatherings.

What You’ll Need

To make a quick suya dip, you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt or sour cream (or use a dairy-free alternative)
  • 1–2 tablespoons of Yaji Suya Spice Blend (or No-Nut Suya Spice Blend for nut-free options)
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: a drizzle of olive oil.

How to Make It

  1. Mix It Up
In a bowl, combine the yogurt (or chosen base) with Yaji Suya Spice Blend. Start with 1 tablespoon, taste, and adjust to your spice preference.
  2. Add Acid and Salt
Stir in lemon juice or vinegar to balance the flavors. Add salt to taste.
  3. Finish and Chill
Let the dip sit for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavors to bloom. For best results, chill for 30 minutes before serving.
  4. Serve Bold
Serve with fresh veggies, warm flatbread, or as a bold side to grilled skewers.
